Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program – Ryan’s Video Review

In this narrative, Ryan shares his experiences at Sovereign Health Group and how they shaped his sobriety. Ryan had been using drugs for a long time and explains that he was a broken man before seeking treatment. He knew he needed help to get his life back on track because what he was doing on his own was not working. Ryan was attracted to what Sovereign was able to offer in the way of structure and groups, quickly learning that what you get from the program is determined by how much you put in.

After undergoing the detoxification process, Ryan started going to groups while living at a Sovereign residence. He formed good relationships with his house managers and bonded with his housemates, who he now refers to as his brothers. Ryan’s favorite groups were those led by Carmella, including one entitled “The Mask,” which allowed him to explore how his true self relates to the self he presents to the world. He also learned a great deal from brain mapping with Katie. Ryan is thankful for the tools Sovereign taught him. He advises future clients that it is not easy and sometimes feels hopeless, but emphasizes that recovery is possible. Ryan is now confident leaving treatment and feels ready to start a new chapter in his life.*
