Recovering from an eating disorder is possible. At Sovereign Health of California, our adolescent and adult female patients are provided with the most comprehensive treatment plans so they can recover from anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa along with any co-occurring disorders. Through Sovereign Health’s Eating Disorder Program, patients learn healthy behaviors regarding food, effective coping skills, healthy eating behaviors, and positive feelings about their body shape and weight.
Sovereign Health of California offers an Eating Disorder Program for females who have anorexia and bulimia nervosa at our San Clemente and Rancho San Diego locations. Our San Clemente facility offers a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for the treatment of eating disorders among females age 18 and older.
Girls from ages 12 to 17 can also receive treatment for eating disorders at our Rancho San Diego adolescent residential facility, which offers both inpatient and outpatient treatment programs to female adolescents affected by eating disorders.
Sovereign Health of California’s clinical treatment team specializes in identifying and treating the primary eating disorder along with any co-occurring disorders. During the admissions process, all patients receive a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and physical examination to diagnose the primary eating disorder, identify the presence of any co-occurring mental, medical or substance use disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ specific needs.
