Dual diagnosis treatment programs are offered at every Sovereign Health location, as co-occurring disorders are quite common. Often, a person abuses substances because of an undiagnosed, untreated mental health condition. Substances can also trigger or worsen a mental health disorder. A substance use disorder accompanied by a co-occurring mental health disorder is called a dual diagnosis. If both conditions are not treated concurrently, relapse is almost inevitable. Below are Sovereign’s California treatment centers, all of which offer dual diagnosis treatment programs.
