Natasha Drukarova recently joined Sovereign Health Group
in the new position of Training and Education Manager. She sat down with us this month to tell us a little more about herself.
What is your background?
I have a background in both education and healthcare. I received my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from California State University, Northridge. I am a certified athletic trainer and maintain my certification and attend the conferences as a member of the career and training committee. I went to Arizona State University for a Master of Education in Leadership in Higher Education.
While at ASU, I was a graduate assistant athletic trainer on the sports medicine team and worked with the football and women’s water polo teams. After that, I worked for three years as a career advisor at a vocational college where I trained students and employees on professionalism.
What does your job entail?
As the Training and Education Manager at Sovereign Health, I have many different roles. I handle our Continuing Education (CE) affiliations. After the outreach and marketing team decide on the speakers for our CE events, I review the proposed event and ensure that the content and credentials meet the standards of the associations for which we are approved as a CE provider.
I also work to obtain approval to be a continuing education provider from additional associations. In addition, I organize and oversee the didactic speakers for the interns and clinical staff. The third aspect of my job is to manage the regulatory training for the general staff to ensure we meet all licensing criteria for all of our locations.
What brought you to Sovereign Health?
I was happy to find the position at Sovereign Health because it provides me with the opportunity to combine the two diverse areas of my background into one position. I’ve worked in the healthcare industry as an athletic trainer, and I have worked with education and training. Now, I get to combine my experience and passion for both into one place.
What are you most excited about with your position?
This is a new position for Sovereign Health, and I am most excited to develop this position and facilitate Sovereign Health’s position as a continuing education provider. My goal is to significantly expand the number of associations with which we are an approved provider. I also want to help the clinical staff and interns present at more conferences to broaden the reach of Sovereign Health. I am excited to have the opportunity to be of service to our clinical staff and build our internal and external education opportunities.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I really enjoy working at Sovereign. Everyone has been so friendly and nice and it is a really fun atmosphere. I’m pleased to be able to work with so many great people. I also look forward to assisting Sovereign continue expanding through adding more continuing education and training opportunities.
