Happy Holidays from Sovereign Health Group

The entire team at Sovereign Health Group would like to wish all of our friends, families, colleagues, and alumni a very happy and safe holiday season.

The Sovereign team will be here to provide any support during the Holidays for any questions regarding resources and support for relapse triggers, coping with holiday stresses, and to discuss our treatment programs for those who need further support during the season and into the New Year. Managing Your Distress In The Aftermath of a Shooting

You may be struggling to understand how a shooting could occur and why such a terrible thing would happen. There may never be satisfactory answers to these questions.

We do know, though, that it is typical for people to experience a variety of emotions following such a traumatic event. These feelings can include shock, sorrow, numbness, fear, anger, disillusionment, grief and others.

You may find that you have trouble sleeping, concentrating, eating or remembering even simple tasks. This is common and should pass after a while. Over time, the caring support of family and friends can help to lessen the emotional impact and ultimately make the changes brought about by the tragedy more manageable. You may feel that the world is a more dangerous place today than you did yesterday. It will take some time to recover your sense of equilibrium. (Read More)

Spirit of Recovery

Happy HolidaysIt is important for us to show our patients Holiday cheer and spirit while they begin and continue their recovery from addiction, mental health, or eating disorders while in treatment with us. The team at Sovereign Health has created a festive treatment environment for our patients to be involved in holiday activities that will create healthy memories they can focus on and share with their friends and families in the future.

Dr. Diana Cho, Program Director for our Dual Diagnosis and Mental Health program shares, "Since the beginning of December, the patients have been working on ornaments and beaded jewelry to give as Christmas gifts in Art Therapy.  The week before Christmas, our patients will be drawing names for Secret Santa.  On Christmas, we will be providing a catered lunch/dinner for the patients and having the Secret Santa gift exchange".

Using Health Insurance

Mental Health, Eating Disorder, and Addiction Treatment had been non-existent for thousands of people in the United States every year due to not having enough resources to pay for a program. Sovereign Health Group wanted to change the face of the utilization of health insurance in addiction and mental health treatment to be able to help more people receive the help they need and deserve. Sovereign Health has been diligent and motivated from the very beginning to create and continue increasing the amount of coverage that a patient receives for treatment. From the very first call, our admissions team will handle the verification of benefits and devise a plan of action to get the patient into treatment as quickly as possible.  Sovereign Health is Joint Commission Accredited and continues to build an excellent system of patient documentation to prove medical necessity for treatment to help patients receive longer team treatment. Sovereign is dedicated to excellent patient care and satisfaction. We are proud to say "We Accept and Direct Bill Insurance".
