Located at the base of the scenic San Jacinto Mountains, the Palm Springs area has been one of the United States’ leading resort destinations for years. The combination of sunny, warm weather and tranquil desert scenery has made the area attractive to those seeking to heal and grow since the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians settled the area over 2,000 years ago.
Sovereign Health of Palm Desert maintains 10 treatment houses in the towns of Palm Springs, Palm Desert and Cathedral City. Five of our houses have pools. Additionally, our houses have:
Separate living areas for men and women
- 24/7 crisis intervention
- TV and game time
- Laundry facilities
- Mountain views
- Large backyard areas
Patients receive three professionally-prepared meals a day. Additionally, patients can also make dietary requests for their specific needs. Smoking is allowed in designated areas.
Patients at Palm Desert participate in a wide variety of traditional and alternative therapies, from process groups to art therapy. Family group meetings are available on the third weekend of each month. Additionally, patients attend four 12-step meetings a week.
Our location in the Palm Springs area gives us access to many recreational and cultural activities. Patients can attend outings to the gym, local museums, bowling and hiking. To see a typical schedule, click here.
