Q. How long does treatment usually take?
A. There’s no one answer – every patient responds to treatment differently. Typically, most stays with us last between 30 and 90 days. However, treatment is often more effective with longer stays.
Q. What is the admissions process like?
A. We like to get to know every patient before we treat them. Prior to the start of treatment, we first conduct an interview with patients, detailing their background, symptoms and problems. We also conduct various assessments on patients’ cognitive function and personality. This process gives us the best possible view of the patient, allowing us to create an individually-tailored, effective treatment program.
Patients also receive a complete medical and psychological examination as well as a tuberculosis test for the safety of patients and staff. Finally, an intake coordinator gives each patient a briefing on Sovereign’s rules, regulations and procedures.
Q. Do you take insurance?
A. We accept most private insurance and our admissions staff will work with our patients to determine how much coverage their insurance plans cover – in addition to any other financial options available. Sovereign works with both patient and referrers to make this process as painless as possible.
