At Sovereign Health of California, our adolescent and adult female patients are provided with the most comprehensive treatment plans so they can recover from anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa along with any co-occurring disorders. Through Sovereign Health’s Eating Disorder Program, patients learn healthy behaviors regarding food, effective coping skills, healthy eating behaviors, and positive feelings about their body shape and weight.
Patients who are diagnosed with anorexia nervosa often have an extremely low body weight, a pathological fear of becoming fat or gaining weight, and a distorted body image, which means that they believe they are overweight when they are underweight.
