David Gennis Associate Program Director
David Gennis, Psy.D., LMFT, is the Associate Program Director for both the dual diagnosis and mental health programs at the Sovereign Health facility in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Gennis received his second master’s degree and his Psy.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in San Diego, California. His experience includes providing clinical oversight, utilization management and clinical supervision as an Applied Behavioral Analysis Director, Clinical Care Director of Intensive Case Management Services, Director of Intake and Utilization Management of a 160-bed Residential Treatment Center and Regional Manager of Wraparound services. Dr. Gennis has presented at local, state and national conferences on his work related to birth-to-five services. His book “Multifamily Group Clinical Skills Workbook For Therapists: Facilitation from a Structural and Theoretical Lens” has sold internationally. With more than 17 years of leadership experience in fields of the behavioral health and nonprofit, as well a strong passion for working to create pathways, strategies and solutions to help individuals and families live their best lives, Dr. Gennis offers his team leadership and practical solutions for providing high quality service delivery.
