Eating Disorders Program
At Sovereign Health of California, we are proud of our Eating Disorder program. It offers a wide range of therapeutic activities designed to offer support, education and experience as you develop an understanding of your eating disorder behavior and learn to replace it with healthy behaviors and attitudes. We know that this is an extremely difficult time and we appreciate the courage that brings you to us.
Who Do We Treat?
If you are at least 18 years old, our program is open to you - regardless of gender. We are experienced in treating all forms of eating disorder. Should your eating disorder be complicated by another condition, such as depression or substance abuse, our programs are designed to accommodate those concerns as well.
What Treatment Options are Available?
We offer three levels of treatment. It is expected that you will begin with the Partial Hospital Program and move on through the other treatment options as you gain skills, experience and confidence.
- Partial Hospitalization (PHP) is a day program which provides treatment activities from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, combined with a Family Program at weekends.
- IOP or Individual Outpatient is a less intense treatment option. You may come for select periods during the treatment day, or for specific days. The weekend Family Program is also available.
- For those who are staying with us and who have completed the PHP and IOP programs, we also offer a Transitional Living option, where a supportive, therapeutic environment is provided, as you begin to resume normal activities such as employment, education, etc.
Although we are not a residential program, most of our clients choose to stay in our comfortable residences, at no additional cost. Should you take advantage of this service, you will have access to additional encouragement from your peers, as well as supportive supervision at all meals.
In addition to the above, ANAD and other Aftercare opportunities will continue to be available to you after discharge from the program.
