You’re looking for the best solution you can find for drug and alcohol detox, and here it is: The Outpatient Drug Detox and Residential Sober Living Program at Sovereign Health.
Our patients are seen by a doctor and prescribed medications in scheduled sessions during the day, then are free to relax and rest in a peaceful, residential drug-free environment at night.
Groups and one on one therapy can be intensive and thought provoking. One on one and group therapies relaxation time is as important for growth as actual one on one and group therapy. Clients are given as much work and therapy as they can handle then allowed to rest in a homelike setting.
There are as many varieties and combinations of drugs used as there are drug detox protocols to treat various drug problems. In recent years, we have found few people who use one particular drug exclusively. For example, it is common in outpatient drug detox programs to see patients who use combinations of alcohol and cocaine, or of alcohol and prescription drugs. Some drug detox centers offer outpatient medical detox, others don't. Some offer day treatment services as well as outpatient detox services.
Although heroin detox is painful without medications in drug rehab, some outpatient drug detox centers use medication to help heroin users get through detox comfortably. Alcohol detox on the other hand may not feel as painful, but certainly requires medication and medical monitoring to ensure safety.
When alcohol is combined with anxiety medications, it is even more important to prescribe the correct levels of medication because anxiety drugs may render normal detox drugs useless. In these cases, medical drug detox is done using alternative medications that are just as effective.
Persons with histories of methamphetamine or cocaine use may suffer from intrusive thoughts that interfere with their ability to stay in treatment. These thoughts and the resultant paranoia tend to go away over a period of time, but it is important to stabilize these patients using medication if necessary until the drugs completely leave the body.
Rarely is it sufficient simply to remove drugs for recovery to be complete. Drug rehab gives patients the tools to remain free of drug addiction for life. At Sovereign Health of California Treatment Center, we can provide both outpatient drug rehab and the critical day treatment services after drug detox is complete.
