”I went through two other centers and never had a clue—but you showed me where to find it and how to fix it. You truly opened my eyes.”

Treatment takes place on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and half days on weekends. Treatment will be customized to fit each patient’s needs, and hence different for each patient. Sovereign Health of California’s multidisciplinary team works around the clock according to each patient’s treatment needs.
Our programs utilize the most innovative treatment modalities and evidence-based interventions. This means we are using the most up-to-date dual diagnosis treatment facilities and methods that are the most reliable according to scientific studies. We do not experiment with unreliable or outdated treatment procedures. Only the tried and true techniques make it into our repertoire of services we provide our patients.
Outdoor activities, scheduled shopping, and trips to the beach are an important part of treatment. They help the patient become accustomed to normal, everyday life outside of the dual diagnosis facilities. That is also why our patients participate in chores, exercises, and group exercises.
We occasionally also do something called multi-systemic family therapy. In these therapy sessions, the patients gather in a group with their families to learn how to deal with their conditions. Some of the things they learn are how to best communicate with on another, what birth order means for different family members, and how to show support through troubled times. These sessions are led by a qualified family therapist. We encourage all family members of patients to attend if they have time.
Below are some sample schedules of a typical week at Sovereign Health of California. Please keep in mind that each patient will see differences from the charts, since each schedule is customized to fit his/her needs.
