Philosophy

Sovereign Health of California uses a bio-psycho-social model of treatment for addictive behavior.

We've found that the most effective addiction rehab modalities are those which address each client as an individual. For that reason, we tailor each patient's treatment to his or her individual needs. We use proven methods of treatment, integrating the most effective components of several drug treatment modalities and schools of thought.

The treatment plan begins by identifying all of the underlying issues of distress that move a person to chemicals and/or other forms of destructive behavior. The plan then integrates life changing experiences that can bring about a rebirth of the individual's sense of self and purpose, value, power and future. Each rehab patient's journey begins with a sensitive acceptance and respect for his or her uniqueness.

Our planning staff works from a variety of methods and types of treatment, including the medical model, cognitive behavioral, social model, and one-to-one therapy.
