Dr. Marcum has worked with children and adults in the field of behavioral health for over a decade. Dr. Marcum studied clinical psychology with an emphasis in forensic psychology at Argosy University in Orange County. She has experience working with a wide variety of mental health diagnoses including dual diagnosis. She has experience in both residential and outpatient clinics using cognitive behavioral therapy as the primary form of treatment. Dr. Marcum was selected to present research findings on personality development at the Western Psychology Association Conference in 2008 and at the California Psychological Association Conference in 2009. More recently, her work at Sovereign Health has expanded to investigate and treat cognitive functioning in patients with a co-occurring diagnosis of chemical dependency.

Daniel received his Masters degrees from Chapman University in Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family counseling. He has worked for 25 years in the helping profession, in Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatric and Drug and Alcohol facilities. Daniel was the senior Program Evaluation Specialist for the County of Orange in charge of evaluating Driving under the Influence and drug diversion programs. Daniel is a strong believer in the importance of family participation in the recovery process.

Heidi received her Bachelors Degree in Child Development and Masters in Counseling from Cal State Fullerton. Heidi received specialized training and experience in crisis intervention, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and trauma treatment during her four year internship at a Police Department Crisis Intervention Unit. Heidi has a private practice in Tustin with over 12 years experience as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Heidi has also served as a clinician for a private agency and a Senior Social Worker for the County of Orange Children and Family Services. Heidi feels compassion and optimism are essential components to motivation for change.
